Homemade caesar salad dressing has always been one of my favs. It’s thick garlicy goodness has always lit my tastebuds up and made me want more more more! It’s yummy on so many things!
From dressing up Kale Caesar salad to being drenched over baked potatoes, this dressing is sure to be a hit!
What are the ingredients in caesar dressing?
One thing that has always deterred me from making creamy caesar dressing is the anchovy paste. There is just something about it that makes my face pucker up.. not in a good way. I just can’t get past it. I know it’s supposed to bring this whole ‘depth of flavour’ thingy, but with some tweaking you really don’t need the stuff!
The dressing I have created it so so yummy, it will not leave you looking for anything more! There is red wine vinegar and Worcestershire for that depth of flavour, lemon juice and zest for extra freshness, and dijon for a little kick. Freshly grated parmesan is essential and garlic brings it home. I use sour cream instead of greek yogurt or mayonnaise because it’s extra creamy deliciousness fits so well in this homemade caesar salad dressing.

The best part about this recipe? It’s super easy!
Simply toss everything into a bowl, puree with an immersion blender and BAM! Delicious homemade Caesar salad dressing!
How long does homemade Caesar salad dressing last?
With proper storage this homemade Caesar salad dressing will last about 7 days in the refrigerator. It should be sealed for freshness with a tight fitting lid or siran wrap.
What goes with caesar salad
Tonight I made this homemade caesar salad dressing to drench over a delicious Kale Caesar Salad and accompany some leftover Greek Chicken Kebabs I squirrelled away from last night’s dinner. No idea how I managed that one! The toasted almonds and dried cranberries from the Kale Caesar add the perfect touch to this Rich Creamy Madness!

Creamy Homemade Caesar Salad Dressing without Anchovies
- 1 garlic clove minced
- 1 cup sour cream full fat
- 1/4 cup parmesan grated
- 1 tsp Worcestershire
- 1.5 tsp dijon
- 2 tbsp red wine vinegar
- 1 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp lemon zest
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
- 10-15 grinds black pepper
- Mix all ingredients in a small bowl and puree until smooth with an immersion blender. Pour over your favourite salad or use as a delicious dip!
