There’s nothing like homemade caesar dressing. Absolutely nothing. Not only is it super easy to make, there isn’t anything weird in the ingredient list and the taste is incredible! Bonus? No preservatives or chemicals!

Besides bringing Caesar salad to life, this Keto Caesar Dressing is great in a few other ways. It makes an awesome sandwich/wrap sauce or excellent dip for Keto Chicken Nuggets or Keto Pizza Crust! Try a chicken caesar sandwich on a Low carb Everything Bagel, or a wrap on an Almond Flour Tortilla.

Either way you decide to enjoy this beautiful dressing, I hope you love it as much as we do!

Ingredients

All ingredients used in this Keto Caesar Dressing.

Mayonnaise – Look for a full fat mayonnaise that is made with a high quality fat, such as olive oil or avocado oil.

Parmesan – the best parmesan to use in this Keto Caesar Dressing is freshly grated. I use either Grana Padano or Parmesano Reggiano. They may seem expensive, but you can grate quite a bit of cheese from one block! Plus, there’s nothing like freshly grated parmesan cheese sprinkled over a crisp caesar salad.

How to make Keto Caesar Dressing

It’s so easy! Grab either 1 large or 2 small garlic cloves, then peel and mince them finely. Grate the parmesan cheese, zest the lemon until you have 1/4 tsp lemon zest, and juice the lemon until you have 1 tbsp lemon juice.

I always puree my ingredients together using an immersion blender because it makes the most creamiest of all dressings. So grab the cup of an immersion blender (or a blender, magic bullet or small food processor) and toss in the mayonnaise, minced garlic, grated parmesan, lemon zest, lemon juice, worcestershire, dijon, red wine vinegar, salt and black pepper.

Puree with the immersion blender (or in your blender, magic bullet or small food processor) for a minute or two, until the Keto Caesar Dressing is smooth. Enjoy immediately or refrigerate for up to 7 days.

Expert Tips

  1. Don’t have an immersion blender? You can use either a blender, magic bullet or small food processor instead. Don’t have either? You can just use a bowl and a whisk. The dressing will still taste delicious, it just won’t be as creamy. Also, you would want to mince the garlic super duper fine, or, better yet, run it through a garlic press.
  2. With proper storage this Keto Caesar Dressing will last about 7 days in the refrigerator. It should be sealed for freshness with a tight fitting lid or plastic wrap.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you eat Caesar dressing on keto?

You totally can! You’ll find sugar and other unnecessary preservatives in some store bought dressings, so just be careful and read the labels. To play it safe, it’s always best to make it at home.

What dressings are Keto friendly?

There are actually a bunch of Keto friendly dressings you can make at home. Besides this Keto caesar dressing, my favourites are Ranch, Honey Mustard, Blue Cheese, Cilantro Lime, Greek and Italian.

What are some recipes that could a little Keto caesar goodness?

Besides the obvious, Keto Caesar Salad, my favourite ways to use Keto caesar dressing are as a dip for Chicken Nuggets or Baked Tenders. Pepperoni Pizza Bites, Calzones or Pizza Crust are awesome with a little bit of caesar goodness, and I also love to use it as a dip for raw veggies, or a spread for sandwiches and wraps.

Did this recipe change from an original posted one? I thought it used sour cream, not Mayo. And, of course, the values are quite different.

    1. Aleta says:

Hi Diana, yes, I have been making this with mayo instead of sour cream and love it so much more. It’s just a 1:1 sub if you prefer it with sour cream instead 🙂

I remember the first time I tried Ceasar salad. I loved it! The way it tingled on my tongue, and that crispiness and freshness of the lettuce. A truly joyous moment in my foodie life. Your dressing sounds fantastic, love the ingredients and I am with you on the Mayo. We use live oil Mayo a fair bit. Just yummy!

    1. Aleta says:

Thanks so much Loreto! I still get that joyous experience when eating caesar salad – I just love it!
