There really isn’t a whole lot better than honey mustard when it comes to dippin’ chicken, am I right? That sweet tang has my heart on a string, I just cannot resist the stuff!

I’ve been making all sorts of crispy chicken from burgers to nuggets and strips. Caesar dressing just wasn’t cutting it anymore so I decided enough was enough, I would find a honey substitute to replace the honey in my honey mustard recipe.

I finally stumbled across one from natures hollow and omg, YOU GUYS! This Keto Honey Mustard is SO. DANG. DELICIOUS! Like, got not right to be this dang delicious, no right at all. Got me dippin’ my whole fridge just to have an excuse to dive further into that bowl of goodness.

Pretty sure Zoey thinks I’m a little cuckoo because I was literally dancing around my house with a half eaten chicken tender in one hand, mouth full and and basically intoxicated with a mouth sensory explosion.

It was a little awkward. Maybe you should try this dip alone for the first time? Either way, I hope you love this Keto Honey Mustard as much as I do!

Why it works

  1. You only need 3 simple ingredients!
  2. This recipe has the perfect ratio of sweet, creamy and tang.
  3. Ready in the turn of a whisk, this Keto Honey Mustard is just as easy to make as it is delicious!

Ingredients

  • yellow mustard
  • mayonnaise
  • honey substitute

3 ingredients! That’s it! Depending on what you are using this Keto Honey Mustard for, you can add a pinch of sea salt. For example, I would add the sea salt if I was using this as a dip for chicken tenders, but would skip the salt if using on a sandwich spread or as a salad dressing. Another ingredient to try is cayenne. Add a pinch to spice up this dip for an added flavour bonus.

Honey Substitute – I am pretty pumped about this honey substitute I have just discovered, made by Nature’s Hollow. There are so many excellent recipes I can now make like this Low Carb Nut Bar and Honey Garlic Saucerecipe coming soon!

I found this Sugar Free Honey Substitute at amazon, and though it’s fairly pricey, it’s sooo worth it. It’s sweetened with xylitol and only has 1 g net carbs per 1 tbsp. The best part? It tastes exactly like honey without any aftertaste.

How to make Keto Honey Mustard

Mix all three ingredients together and mix. It’s that simple!

Whisk in sea salt and/or cayenne if desired. Store in the refrigerator in an air tight container.

I made this on Saturday to take to my sister who loves her keto diet and she absolutely loved it. She asked for the recipe and I know it will be her go-to dressing now.

    1. Aleta says:

Yay! I a so glad she loved it, thank you Jacquelyn for letting me know!

  16. Rosemary says:

Please note that Xylitol is extremely toxic to pets. Even a very small amount can kill them if ingested. Please use extreme caution if making this in a household with dogs and cats!

  17. Janice says:

The honey substitute is no longer available on Amazon. Do you have any alternatives?

    1. Aleta says:

      Which country are you in?

    2. Ellen says:

Wholesome yum makes a good honey substitute. http://Www.Wholesomeyum.com

  18. Joyce says:

Your link for the honey substitute doesn’t work. This one does: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B010AIER0K/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Also, I have changed this up a bit. I cut the mustard in half, add a squeeze of sugar-free BBQ sauce, some liquid smoke, and a touch of lemon juice, and of course the honey substitute. Tastes just like Chick-Fil-A sauce.

    1. Aleta says:

      Thanks Joyce!
Wow, I’m going to have to try your way next time – sounds great 😉
