Keto Glazed Donut Ingredients

Here is a list of the ingredients used to make this recipe with a description of why the ingredient is used. At the bottom of the page you will find our recipe card with all measurements and tips.

Almond flour – Look for the fine almond flour, don’t use the almond meal as it is too coarse and won’t give you the same texture

Coconut Flour – You can also use tapioca flour, oat fiber or just double the almond flour

Monk Fruit Sweetener – This is a zero carb sweetener that has a sweet taste with no aftertaste

Collagen Protein Powder – This helps to give the donuts a better texture and added protein. I like to use Ancient Nutrition Multi-Collagen Protein Powder

Baking Powder – To help the dough rise

Vanilla Extract– For flavor

Eggs – Help to create a fluffy donut

Salt – To enhance flavor

Butter – Adds flavor

Frequently Asked Questions

How Do I Keep My Donuts From Sticking To The Pan?

The best way to keep your donuts from sticking is by spraying the pan with coconut oil spray before adding your dough. Spray the coconut oil very well to avoid any missed spots in the pan. To loosen the donuts from the pan you can use a butter knife around the perimeter prior to removing the donuts. Also be sure to let them cool in the pan for about 5 minutes before removing as this will help to avoid sticking.

What Do I Fill My Donut Pan With?

Fill your donut pan with a pastry bag. If you don’t have a pastry bag you can use a quart-size Ziploc bag by cutting the corner off.

How Much Dough Do I Add To My Pan?

It’s best to fill the dough no more than 2/3 of the way up. If you add any more the dough might rise out of the pan and create a mess.

Can I Use Regular Flour To Make These Donuts?

No, these donuts require almond flour and coconut flour, which you can find in most grocery stores or online.

Can I Make The Glaze Without Butter?

Yes, you can use coconut oil instead of butter for a dairy free option.

Can I Double The Recipe?

Yes, this recipe doubles well if you have a larger donut pan or want to make a lot of donuts. Just be sure to adjust the cooking time according to how full your pan is and keep an eye on them while baking.

Can I Make These Donuts Ahead Of Time?

Yes, you can make these donuts ahead of time and store them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days or freeze them for up to three months. Just be sure to reheat before serving.

Can I Add Chocolate Or Flavoring To The Glaze?

Yes, you can add a few drops of your favorite extract or even some cocoa powder for a chocolate glaze. You can also top with sprinkles or chopped nuts for an extra special treat.

Can I Use A Different Sweetener?

Yes, you can use any keto-friendly sweetener such as Swerve, Erythritol, Xylitol or your favorite sugar-free sweetener. Just be sure to adjust the amount according to how sweet you like it.

Can I Add Any Toppings?

Yes, you can add any type of topping you like such as sprinkles, chopped nuts or even some fresh fruit. These donuts also go well with any type of glaze.

What Is The Best Way To Reheat These Donuts?

The best way to reheat these donuts is by placing them in the oven at 350°F for about 5 minutes or until they are warm and crispy. You can also microwave them for a few seconds but this will make them soggy.
