4 Ingredient Garlic Aioli

All it takes is 4 simple ingredients to make a creamy garlic aioli, packed with garlicky goodness. It's sugar & dairy free, low carb and crazy delicious!

Ingredients
  

  • 4 cloves garlic
  • ½ tsp sea salt divided
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 lemon squeezed 1 ½ tbsp juice

  • Peel the garlic cloves and then mince finely. Sprinkle ¼ tsp sea salt over the garlic and then using the side and edge of your knife blade, crush the garlic. Alternate mincing the garlic and crushing it back and forth with the edge of your knife.
  • Add the garlic paste to a bowl with the mayonnaise. Squeeze the juice from the lemon and add 1 ½ tbsp lemon juice to the bowl. Mix well, cover, and refrigerate for at least an hour before serving, to allow the flavour to develop. Taste and add remaining sea salt if needed.

Expert Tips

  1. Turning the garlic into a paste is what gives the aioli its delicious flavour and smooth texture.
  2. Save yourself some time by pushing the garlic through a garlic press first before crushing it with your knife.
  3. This garlic aioli will last about a week if kept in an air tight container in the fridge.
