Ingredients

  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 tsp yeast
  • 1 tbsp white sugar
  • 1 tbsp butter soft
  • 1 tsp sea salt plus extra for sprinkling
  • 2-2.5 cups flour
  • 2 tbsp melted butter

Instructions

Directions

  • In the bowl of a stand mixer whisk together the warm water, yeast and sugar until dissolved. Let stand for 10 minutes.
  • Add the soft butter, sea salt and 2 cups flour. Knead with the dough hook, adding more flour if the dough is sticky. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise for 20 minutes.
  • Heat oven to 350° and grease a 9x7" baking dish. Turn dough onto counter and roll into a long log. Divide the dough into 12 pieces and roll each piece into a ball. Space the balls evenly in the greased baking dish, brush with 1 tbsp melted butter and sprinkle with sea salt, cover with plastic wrap and rise for an additional 10 minutes.
  • Unwrap the baking dish and bake for 15-18 minutes, until the rolls are golden brown. Brush with 1 tbsp melted butter and serve warm!
