Cuisine BBQ, Canadian
Servings 3 corn on the cob
- 3 corn ears
- 3 tbsp butter
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp sea salt
Directions
I always start by soaking the corn in cold water for 30-60 minutes to soften the husks. Heat up your BBQ. Peel back and remove the husks until you have one layer remaining that still covers the kernels. Very gently peel back that last layer but DO NOT REMOVE!
Smother each cob in 1 tbsp butter, rubbing well to ensure full coverage. Sprinkle the garlic powder and salt evenly between the cobs, massaging the seasoning into the butter.
Gently replace the last layer of husk, place the corn onto a tin foil 'boat' and move the boat onto your BBQ. The boat will stop the butter from leaking out onto the BBQ and making a giant mess.
BBQ for 20 minutes or until the corn is vibrant in colour, turning the cobs every few minutes to ensure even cooking. Discard the last layer of toasty husk and you're ready to indulge in these delicious Garlic Buttered Corn on the Cobs!
