Teriyaki Chicken In The Crock-pot

- 1 pound chicken breast or thighs boneless, skinless
- 1/2 cup soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tsp ginger root freshly grated
- a pinch red pepper flakes Optional
- 2 tbsp cornstarch dissolved in 2 tablespoons cold water Optional
- Salt and pepper to taste
Place chicken in the crock pot, and top with soy sauce, honey, and garlic.
Sprinkle ginger on top of everything.
Add optional red pepper flakes for an extra kick and stir to combine.
Cook on low heat for 6-8 hours or high heat for 3-4 hours until chicken is cooked through and tender.
If desired, add the cornstarch slurry to thicken the sauce (optional).
Once reduced, season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve with rice and vegetables. Enjoy!
