Okay, these Mini Low Carb Meatballs are soooo good! There’s just something extra special about little savoury balls of heaven drenched in BBQ sauce, don’t you think? I just can’t get enough of them! Mini meatballs are great as the star of the show for an easy weeknight meal, or add them to the menu for a boost on appie night!
I started making these years ago when I went gluten free; they were devoured weekly, I just couldn’t get enough. Paired with a salad, these Mini Low Carb Meatballs are such a delicious way to do dinner. Now that I have my very own BBQ sauce to add to these lovelies, they are even better!

How do you make homemade meatballs?
Easy! I love how simple this recipe is to throw together!
Heat your oven to 350° and line a baking sheet with a non stick baking mat. In a medium mixing bowl combine some ground beef, minced garlic, diced onion, sea salt, black pepper, an egg and some almond flour. Mix them well then scoop out 1TBSP sized portions and shape into little balls. Place them evenly on the baking mat.
Bake for 10 minutes and then remove them from the oven. Pour your choice of low carb barbecue sauce over top of the meatballs and stir to coat. Continue to bake for an additional 10 minutes. If you choose to caramelize them a little bit, turn your oven onto broil for a few minutes until the barbecue sauce starts to brown further. The edges of the barbecue sauce should be a little burnt.
Remove from the oven and serve hot as an entree or poke each one with a toothpick for a perfect appetizer dish 🙂

My Low Carb BBQ Sauce is made with onion, garlic, salt, pepper, sugar free ketchup, lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire, liquid hickory smoke, yellow mustard and sukrin gold sweetener.

Mini Low Carb Meatballs with BBQ Sauce
