Peanut Sauce!! YASSSSS!!! If you are like me, living life peanut sauce free is one of the worst things to have to deal with. Like, ever. Right up there with losing your job or contracting the measles…

No? Just me? Well, because of my peanut sauce passion, I was able to create this epic Keto Peanut Sauce! So… You’re welcome. I hope you love this 5 Minute Keto Peanut Sauce as much as my family and I do!

Why it works

  1. This beauty is not one of those ‘peanut sauces’ that tastes more like vinegar than peanuts. No, no. This Keto Peanut Sauce is bursting with peanut flavour and has the perfect balance of salty, sweet and spicy.
  2. With only 5 minutes to make it, you’ll be in peanut sauce heaven in no time!
  3. Legit, this Keto Peanut Sauce made me weak in the knees the very first time I put it together and tasted it’s perfection. Don’t tell anyone, but I still do the Napoleon Dynamite YESSSS every single time I make it.

  • water
  • honey substitute
  • rice wine vinegar
  • sesame oil
  • crushed red pepper flakes
  • ginger
  • garlic

Organic Peanut Butter – It is super important to buy peanut butter that is organic and has no additives. Non organic peanut butter, even some ‘natural’ peanut butters are loaded with additives like sugar and chemicals, never mind made with peanuts that can be very harmful. Read more about it from BodyUnburdened.

Soy Sauce – Strict Keto can replace the soy sauce with coconut aminos.

Honey Substitute – I like Nature’s Hollow Honey Substitute which is a honey flavoured sugar free syrup that has been sweetened with xylitol. I also use this magical ingredient in recipes like this Keto Honey Mustard and Low Carb Nut Bars. Can’t find it? You can replace it with 3-4 TBSP powdered sweetener, though this sauce will definitely be lacking that honey flavour. I recommend using Lakanto’s Golden Monk Fruit Sweetener and grinding it in a clean coffee grinder to turn it into powder.

How to make Keto Peanut Sauce

You’ll love how easy this Keto Peanut Sauce is to create. Basically, everything is just tossed into a cup and pureed! Awesome, right?

If your immersion blender came with a cup, grab that and pour in the soy sauce, water, peanut butter, honey sub, rice wine vinegar, sesame oil and red pepper flakes.

Peel the garlic and ginger then grate both with the small side of the cheese grater or zester, then add to the cup. Puree until smooth with the immersion blender. Refrigerate for an hour so the flavour can build, if you have time, otherwise enjoy right away!

Expert Tips

  1. Make sure to use organic peanut butter with no additives. If your peanut butter has salt in it, it may be too salty. You could try adding a little less soy sauce or coconut aminos to counteract the saltiness.
  2. This can also be made in a blender or food processor. Don’t have either? Simply add the ingredients to a bowl and whisk, though it will not be as smooth.
  3. Don’t have fresh ginger or garlic? This Keto Peanut Sauce is SO much tastier with fresh ingredients, but in a pinch, the garlic can be replaced with 1/8 tsp garlic powder and the ginger can be replaced with 1/4 tsp ground ginger.
  4. This sauce is super thick, perfect for dipping. If you want more of a thin dressing, more water can be added until it has reached the desired thickness.
